Birthday Gifts & Haul

Hello lovelies, i hope your all well and had a wonderful weekend like me. So it was my birthday on Saturday and i got lots of lovely goodies that i thought i would share with you. This post may be a little all over the place with who got me what but i thought instead of having a million photo's the way I've done it would be easier so please bare with me haha.
So from my dad i got two more charms which are a cute little diamante cross and cat, he's been getting me charms since i was 16 to go on the bracelet he got me so it's really sentimental. He also got me one of my childhood films goodnight Mr Tom and I'm a big fan of Monty Python so he got me the life of Brian, the meaning of life and my favourite the holy grail...your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Haha those who are also a fan will understand that bit. From some of my birthday money i got myself the Barry M textured nail effects in Ridley road and Kingsland road and a Boots nail and cuticle oil as i didn't have one. From one of my lovely friends I got Lush's dream cream which i had my eye on and some bath bombs in this lovely jar, which i loved as i wanted one to store my Lush bits in...it's like she read my mind haha. Then off my mum i got a lovely beanie and a little cook book full of recipes for cup cakes, cookies, brownies and lovely treats like that. And then lastly from these photos whilst i was in Lush spending my voucher the lovely assistant also give me some samples of things to try which i thought was really nice so thought i would add it.
Off my dad i also got a £30 voucher for Lush so these are the goodies i picked up. As they now have their Easter bits in i just had to pick up two of the fluffy egg balistics, i seriously love these and stock up on them so i have them through the year haha, if you like sweet smells you need this in your life! I also picked up my other favourite the rose jam bubbleroon, a honey bee for the Mr to treat him and another eau roma water as mines getting a little low. I then picked up a ceridwyns cauldron bath which is the one in the muslin cloth as it reminded me of the spa, and one of their new items called the bright side bubble bar as it smells of oranges and is just amazing. Even with all that i still have £6 on my gift card, which I'll spend a bit later as i couldn't decide on anything else with all this in my basket haha.
Also with the birthday money i just had to get a MAC fix, of course. So i picked my self up another lipstick and i decided on creme cup, which is a really nice pink that i think will look stunning for those spring and summer days. And a mineralize skinfinish in soft and gentle, my god this is stunning as soon as i swatched it i knew i needed it.
My mother, knowing how much I'm make up obsessed also got me a No7 make up mirror that lights up. She's such a star as i didn't actually have a proper mirror to do my make up so this was an amazing present and i now can't wait to get a proper make up space.
My beautiful little boy got me the leopard print shirt dress that i put on my birthday wish list, cause he's such a little star. I love this dress and can't wait to wear it, i shall certainly be getting more from Oh my love.
But the best present of all had to be from my amazing partner who payed for me and my best friend to stay the night at a spa. At the start of this year i was talking to him about a spa me and my friend had seen and how i would love a girly spa break with her, and bless his little cotton socks he actually done it for me. The place we went is just down Cornwall (i say just as that's really close to me haha) called Bedruthan hotel and spa and my word it was simply beautiful. We had a sea view room and the picture is the stunning view that we had, we stayed Saturday night and took full advantage of the spa and pool being open till 8pm. With the package he booked for us you also got a 30 minute treatment each so my friend had a back massage and i had a face, head, neck and shoulder massage which was amazing. I will certainly be going back here when i can and hope to take the Mr here for our anniversary.

And to top all this off i also won two giveaway's....how amazing is that! I have never won anything in my life and around my birthday i win two, i really can't believe how much of a lucky spoilt girl I've been the past week. Well there we go, a haul post indeed haha. I will be doing reviews as always on the make up and beauty side of things, but if you would also like to know about any of the Lush bath bombs or bubble bars just let me know. I hope no one thinks I'm bragging about what I've got though, i just know a lot of my readers like hauls so i thought i would share, so i hope no one takes it in the wrong way :). Thank you for reading, i hope you all have a wonderful day and i shall see you again soon x

NOTD: In Your Face Leopard Print

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a great day. As promised here is a NOTD post, i promise nail fans i will try and do a lot more nail art posts like i use too. Yesterday i was playing around with ideas for nails and i was really feeling leopard print (when aren't i haha) but with a twist. I think i can safely say i achieved this.
Last September i did a similar look to this but using pink and purple, if you haven't seen it but would like to click here. I wanted to do the same style but with different colours and for some reason the first two that popped in my head was blue and yellow, apparently i was feeling a very in your face style of nails haha.

For this look i used Models Own feeling blue, and the black nail art pen and Barry M's lemon ice cream. Achieving this look is incredibly easy, simply paint all your nails (apart from your ring finger, paint that in blue) in yellow, i did have to apply four coats of mine to get a really nice pop of yellow. To do the chevron ring finger, wait for the blue to be completely dry and then using a piece of masking tape place on the nail to cover the part that will remain blue and then apply the yellow, after you've applied the last coat gently peel tape off. Then randomly place blue dots all over your nails and use the black nail art pen to do your leopard print, here is my tutorial on leopard print if you would like to see my technique. Finally apply your top coat and your done!

I will probably keep these as my nails now until Friday when i do my birthday nails as i actually really like the pow in your face colours haha. What do you think, are you a fan of crazy leopard print, would you wear these? Thank you all for reading, have a lovely day and i shall see you all again soon x

My Tips For Make-up Shopping

Hello lovelies, hope your all enjoying your week so far. So on Sunday whilst taking part in the #bbloggers chat, i was speaking to two lovely gals Julz from the lovely Julz Obsessions and Siobhan from All that glitters., and we was briefly talking about are thoughts and opinions on make-up concession experiences. This got me thinking and as someone requested more personal posts from my 250 follower giveaway, i thought i would share my personal thoughts and experiences when i have shopped in high end named make-up concessions. Now before i start i do just want to say this is simply my personal thoughts and what has happened to me, i am not saying i tar all make-up concession workers with the same brush and I'm not saying you will all of had the same experiences as me. This is just simply my thoughts and tips if you do come across someone who makes you feel this way.

Right with that little ramble out the way haha i shall begin. As you know i am a mummy and my budget doesn't really reach for the high end products, however every now and then i will get something or i will just have a little nosey around. A few months ago i got a sample from Clinique from a magazine, for life of me i can't remember what it was called but it was some kind of rich moisturiser. Seem as i was in Boots and i had started using it i thought i would see how much the actual product was. After walking around completely confused for quite some time i was finally approached by a young woman, may i add that it was dead and i was clearly confused but instead of offering assistance sooner she waited and every time i looked in her direction she looked away. So i politely said to this assistant about this cream and that i had forgotten the name but i was interested in the price she quickly said the name of this cream she thought it was and said that it was in the £30 something range. As this is WAY out my price range i replied saying "ah that's a lot more than i expected" to have her smirk at me and simply walk off. Now this may just be my sensitive nature, my partner does say i can take somethings to heart quite easy, but to me that was rude. I don't appreciate people looking down on me over money and looking at me like yes all this is to expensive for you so I'm not going to offer service with a smile.

Secondly my other bad experience was in MAC just before Christmas which was the second time i went in to my local concession. Now i will add that the first time i went in the woman who served me was amazing and i would gladly go back to her any day, she even gave me a sample of foundation to try and complimented the lipstick i was wearing which i thought was lovely. So the second time i went in was to buy the full size of the foundation she had gave me and i wanted to pick up a concealer too. Sadly the first woman i saw wasn't in and i was approached by someone else, who made me feel rather uncomfortable. She matched me up with a concealer 5 shades darker than the foundation, now not being rude but her make-up looked cakey and orange so when she said that that was the one she used i should of gone with my gut and asked for a few shades lighter but as i felt rather intimidated by her being "the make-up artist" i said nothing. I also wanted to hurry up and leave as she made me feel rather uncomfortable that i had my son with me, who was in his buggy happily eating crisps and talking to us both . Most people aren't fussed by this and talk back to him, however whilst she was matching me up she kept glancing at him not quite so amused...clearly she isn't a kiddy person.

Now I'm not saying because of these people i will never shop at high end make-up concessions but for some unknown reason i do feel very uncomfortable and i don't think this is right. Some of you may know that i am studying to become a make-up artist and i would love to work for somewhere like MAC and i would never dream of making someone feel like that. To me being polite and approachable is very important in this line of work but sadly not everyone has that, so i have come up with 5 little tips that i am going to do just in case i do come across another unpleasant person.
Most of these are pretty self explanatory but I'll go a little more in depth so...

1. Be confident, go in on a day where you feel happy with yourself and the way you look. If you love how you've done your make-up that day it might make you feel like they aren't looking down on your looks. I'm not saying you have to be dolled up to the nines but there's a difference between hardly any make-up and your comfy home clothes, to a near full face and clothes you feel good in.

2. Take your time, you can spend how ever long you like in that shop and however long you want to make a decision. If your not sure on something but they're stood next to you just simply say "can i just have a bit of time to think about it an look around", it's not like they're gonna say no you have been in here for twenty minutes already haha.

3. You don't have to buy it! If your not sure than don't get it, it's not worth it. And don't feel pressured into buying products they're suggesting or have tried on you, if YOU don't like it than you don't have to buy it.

4. Don't go alone, take a friend, partner or even parent along with you. I find when I'm on my own I'm ridiculously shy and rubbish at making decisions. So if you want have a girly shopping trip so they can boost your confidence and also you have a second opinion.

5. Always be polite, this one goes for anything really. But i think it's important to always remain polite, so even if you do end up with a rather rude woman it's better to keep a smile and remain polite than to sink down to her level and make yourself and the situation seem worse.

So there we go my 5 tips to beat the rude and intimidating counter ladies haha. I hope some of you have found this helpful and that i haven't offended anyone that wasn't my intention. Thank you all for reading, have a lovely day and i shall see you all again soon x

My Birthday Wish List

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a lovely day. I have never done a wish list before but I thought I would share with you the few things I am lusting after at the moment and would like if I get any birthday money this weekend. I also think I'm really lusting over these things as I am on a spending ban this month, so I haven't been able to buy anything and these are the few things that I've seen and really want.

- MUA undress your skin flawless primer £3
- MUA undress your skin highlighting powder £2
- MUA undress your skin radiant under eye concealer £2
- MUA undress me too palette £4
- Barry M textured nail paint in shade Ridley road and Kingsland road £3.99 each

First i thought i would start with the few beauty items I'm wanting, as you can see there's a lot from the new MUA undress range which was released the other week. Also the new textured Barry M nail paints which was realised last week but these are the two shades i want the most. As always i am lusting over MAC products as well but i would basically list everything haha, however i do really want the mineralize skinfinish in soft and gentle.

-Oh my love Ruth leopard full length dipped hem shirt dress £10
-Oh my love Roxanne leopard bodycon dress £10
-Missguided Eugenie shiny disco trousers in black £25.99

These are a few clothing items i am really wanting as of late, as you can see i love my leopard print. I have been really wanting a pair of disco pants for a while now but I'm not too sure if i would suite them and the price tag always puts me off, however these don't seem quite so shiny as a lot of the ones i have seen and they're reasonably priced. I have also wanted the leopard shirt dress for a life time now but they was sold out of my size but when i looked on the site the other day they had it in stock, which i can't explain how excited this makes me haha.

If you too like these picks and would like to know where you can get them from than here you go. MUA products you can buy in selected Superdrug stores or from their website, Barry M you can pick up in Boots or Superdrug or from their website. And for the clothing here is the link to the missguided disco pants, and here is the link for the two oh my love dresses. So there's my Birthday picks, obviously i will be over the moon with whatever i get but i just thought I'd share a few things i like. Do you have anything your lusting after? Thank you for reading, have a beautiful day and i shall see you all again soon x

LUSH Ultrabland & Eau Roma Water

Hello lovelies, i hope your all having a pleasant Monday. Today i wanted to talk about two Lush products i got at Christmas and have been loving. As always for Christmas my dad gave me a Lush voucher and this time round i wanted to branch out from my normal bath products and try a few new things. I also really wanted to see if Lush would be able to offer me something that would help with the redness in my skin and a good gentle but efficient daily way to remove all the make-up i wear. The lovely woman that i was speaking to recommended ultrabland which is a facial cleanser and eau roma water which is a toner water.

Ultrabland: "Ultra effective, ultra gentle face cleanser. A rich soft, oily cleansing cream that cares gently for all skin type. Invented by them, for them, this is the Lush founders number one desert island product." This is a lovely thick cream that i massage into my face at night when i want to take all my make up off. As it contains bees wax it removes make up really easy but more important it's really gentle when doing so. I'm not crazy with the smell as it does smell quite waxy but it's not overpowering and it quite a light fragrance so i can happily live with this. You only need a little bit as it does go a long way even if you have a full face of make up on, so i can see this little tub lasting me quite some time. You can use a damp warm flannel to remove it or a cotton pad, i personally use a cotton pad with the eau roma water.

Eau Roma Water: "Kind aromatherapy water to cherish your face. A gentle tonic for everyday use that will help hydrate the skin without causing it to overreact." As this contains lavender water the lady recommended this for the redness in my skin, which i can say i have noticed a difference. I am completely won over with this product and can't see myself not having this in my skin care routine now.  Before this i never used a toner in my routine as i found the ones i tried left my skin feeling taught and made my dry skin really bad, this is completely the opposite and leaves my skin feeling amazing. I can understand why they call it aromatherapy water as it smells so pleasant and relaxing because of the lavender in it, and it's really refreshing to use.

For me using these two together they are a dream team and make removing my make up easy and quick, which doesn't have a million steps to do and i can also do it whilst I'm watching TV haha. The only other step i do before this is removing my mascara with a wet wipe, although i use the ultrabland on my eyes i don't want to use it on my eyelashes. On adverage with a full face of make up on it only takes three cotton pads to completely remove my make up and the ultrabland. I have also been pleasantly surprised with how long the toner water has lasted as i use about four sprays on each cotton pad and a few on my face each time. I thought doing this it wouldn't last that long however it's done the opposite and hasn't gone as quickly as i'd imagine.

Have you tried any of Lush's facial cleansers or toner waters? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

250 Followers MAC Lipstick Giveaway!!!!

Hello lovely ladies, i hope your all well and having a wonderful weekend. Firstly before i start this give away i just wanted to say a quick sorry for my absence this week, sadly baby monster was a little under the weather so I'm sure you all understand mummy mode was switched on to it's fullest haha. Any way with that out the way, last Sunday i hit 250 followers and i can't express how happy that made me. I was planning to do a giveaway for this milestone a few weeks ago but never imagined it would come around as fast as what it did. I did think about doing a little goodie box of a few things I've blogged about and really enjoy but seem as my followers are still going up and it would take time for me to get the prizes it would probably take too long and by time i do it be a bit irrelevant haha. So me and my partner where throwing some ideas around and the easiest thing i thought i could do would be to give one lovely follower a MAC lipstick of their choice.

Some of you may know i got my first MAC lipstick for Christmas and i adore it, if you haven't already read my post on it than you can read it here. I know a few of my readers are like me and have other priorities like being a mummy or a student so MAC lipsticks (as lovely as they are) aren't something we  can just pick up, as i say mine was a Christmas present. Not that I'm trying to put anyone down or whatnot...*sigh* I'm not very good with words, i just thought it would make a lovely gift haha.
This is my MAC lipstick, shade Vegas Volt.
The rules are very simple just be a follower to enter and then you can earn yourself some extra points by following me on twitter etc. And good news to my lovely over seas followers I'm not leaving you out, i am holding this giveaway internationally as long as there's no funny postage rules for your country haha. The competition is running for four weeks and I'm using rafflecopter again as it makes things easy and i don't have to chose between any of you lovely lot. The winner can chose one MAC lipstick they would like as long as i can i buy it, so i would advise on picking from their permanent collection, and  i will be buying it from my local MAC store.

Thank you all so much for following and reading my crazy thoughts i know it's mushy but i really do appreciate every single one of you, i don't think you all realise how much my blog means to me. I love you all, have an amazing day and most importantly good luck!

MUA Shimmer Kisses Bronzer

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a brilliant day. As some of you may already know, last week i received my MUA order from their 50% off offer, and one of the items that i decided to pick up was their bronzer from the shimmer kisses range.
As you can see the packaging is fairly basic and if I'm being honest and picky i hate the glittery kiss mark on the front, I realise this is me just being fussy but i personally think it makes the product look cheep and aimed at teenagers. But the main thing about the packaging is that it clips in place quite firmly so you can easily travel with it and not worry that it's going to open in your bag. With this said i love how the actual bronzer looks haha.
Now when i think of bronzer, i think of something i can contour with and although i never do can apply all over to add a bit of warmth and colour to the face. This is slightly different, as it says on the back "four shimmering tones for highlighting your complexion. Super-blendable for sheer radiant skin."  As it is so shimmery i have been using this as my cheek bone highlight and i am loving it. I have been using all four shades together and as you can see in the swatch it leaves a lovely gold highlight, which when on the face blends really nice and just gives this wonderful glow. It's really pigmented so i find a little goes a long way and as it says it is really blendable.

This is originally priced at £4 but as i say i did pick it up on offer so i got it for just £2, however as i have now tried it i would happily pay the full price. You can pick up MUA products from selected Superdrug stores or as always from their website. Have you tried out any of the shimmer kisses range? Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

MUA Brushes: F5 & F6

Hello lovelies, i hope your all having a nice weekend. On Thursday i received my MUA order from their  50% off promotion, and two of the things i ordered was three of their new make up brushes. So i got myself the F5 kabuki and F6 contour and blush brush, i also picked up another E3 fluffy eye shadow brush. If you missed my earlier post on the brushes i already own here is the previous post
In my other post i did not talk about the packaging these brushes come in, so i thought it would be nice to add it in this post. As you can see they come in individual plastic wallets and then kept in another plastic sleeve inside to protect the brush. I personally have thrown all this away apart for the kabuki brush as i don't have a permanent make-up space and i want to keep it in brilliant condition.
F5 Kabuki Brush: First thing i have to say about this brush is that it's unbelievably soft, it just feels so lovely. I have used this to apply my MAC mineralize skin finish and it works like a dream and makes the job a lot faster without effecting the finish. I like to really press the powder in around my eyes to set my concealer and i can still do that with this brush as well as use it on other places just to give a light coverage. It's also great to knock any excess powder off if you've been a little heavy handed. Overall i think you can tell from the way that I'm writing that i really like this brush and the price makes it even more lovable at only £5, but i got it at a steal of just £2.50!
F6 Contour Brush: Again this brush is lovely and soft, so makes using it a pleasure. I got one of these for my friend as part of her Christmas present and as soon as i saw it i knew i would be picking one up from myself. I find the shape and size makes contouring really easy and it blends really nicely too. I believe this brush is priced at £3.50.

For the prices i certainly recommend these brushes, yet again MUA have brought out brilliant products for the price. You can pick up MUA products from certain Superdrug stores or on their website, although I'm not 100% whether the brushes have been released into the stores yet. Do you own any MUA make up brushes? Thank you for reading, i hope you have a lovely day and i shall see you again soon x

NOTD: Pink & Purple Ombre Nails

Hello lovelies, i hope you are all well and having a brilliant week. I just wanted to say a quick apology for my absence on here this week, if you don't follow me on twitter than you wouldn't of known that i haven't been very well this week. But I'm back now so it's all good haha. So as you can tell from the title this post is what i currently have on my nails and i have been dying to share it with you guys as I'm in love with it.
Frustratingly the colours just out right refuse to show up as strongly when being photographed, so I'm sorry the colour looks a little washed out. Now i realise some of you may think I've gone insane when i say this but there's something about these polishes being put together that makes me feel like i should be riding a unicorn or some sh** haha! I have been trying to phrase that in a less crazy way but i can't, that's just how i feel.

This look is incredibly easy to do. but i would recommend doing it when you have a bit of time. Simply paint your nails in the strawberry ice cream, i had to apply about three coats to get it completely streak free. Then lightly sponge on the berry ice cream polish, slowly building the colour towards the tips and allowing each coat to dry. To make the tips completely purple i just used the brush to paint them, once dry then add one thin coat of diamond glitter and that's it.

You can pick Barry M polishes up from Boots or Superdrug, or if you like to shop online here is their website. These polishes are only £2.99 each and for the price i think they're fantastic, in fact if you haven't already seen it then here is my complete Barry M collection. I hope you enjoyed this post, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Valentines Look: Sexy Glossy Red Lips

Hello lovelies, i hope your all having a lovely day. Yesterday i shared my first valentines look, if you missed it than here it is, today i am sharing a simple yet bold and sexy look...red glossy lips.
Red lips have been everywhere this winter and i for one having been sporting it a lot too. However when i wear it for a day look i like to keep it matte, i think glossy red lips are for more special occasions. So i thought this would be perfect for valentines day and red is meant to be the colour for passion. For this look i kept the rest of my face simple and focused mainly on just the lips and this is what i used.
-Firstly line your lips with a red lip liner that's a close match to the lipstick, i used MUA's intense colour lip liner in red drama. After lining i also filled in my lips with this pencil.
-Then apply your lipstick, i used my Rimmel lasting finish in shade kiss of life.
-And of course to really make them super glossy i then applied my No7 high shine gloss, i think the shade is lust.

Face:
MUA primer
MAC mineralize skin finish shade nw20
MUA conceal & brighten kit in porcelain-beige
Rimmel wake me up concealer ivory

NOTD: Rimmel Princess Pink

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a nice relaxing Sunday. So today on my nails i have yet another pink haha, there is something about pink polish i just can't resist.
I absolutely love this shade, it's a lovely natural baby pink. As it is such a light pale colour i did have to apply four coats, which is slightly annoying but totally worth it. However i do find this polish dries reasonably fast so it doesn't take forever.

As always i picked this up from Boots for just £3.69 but you can also pick up Rimmel products  from other places like Superdrug and some larger supermarkets. What do you think, are you a baby pink fan? Thank you for reading, hope you all have a lovely night and i shall see you again soon x

Valentines Look: Sexy Neutral Eyes & Step By Step

Hello lovelies, i hope your all having a good weekend. So a few of you may know that i wasn't exactly on the ball when it came to new years eve looks, so with this being my first time of blogging for the valentines period i thought i would try and be a little more prepared. Yesterday i asked on twitter if any of you would like to see any looks in particular and the first request i got was for a neutral look and this is what i come up with...
If like me your a neutral kind of gal and would like to know how i created this look than please carry on reading. So for the eye shadow i used my Crown Brush 88 palette, and these are the shades that i used and the order in which i used them.
-Firstly apply shade 1 all over the lid and blend up over your brow bone.
-Then take shade 2 which is a lovely gold brown, to the whole lid.
-Taking shade 3 apply to the outer corner of the eye and in your socket, make sure to really blend this out, i went slightly over my brow bone.
-Now take shade 4 and apply again to the outer corner of your eye and slightly in the socket and really blend this out, this is to intensify the look. I also used what was left on my angled eyeshadow brush to drag under my bottom lash line.
- I then took shade 1 again and applied on my brow bone to tie all the colours in. I also went back in with shade 2 on my lid to really make the gold pop.
-And finally use shade 5 to highlight the inner corners of your eye and a little under your eyebrow.
-I then completed the look with a gel eyeliner and winged it out slightly, took a black Kohl eyeliner pencil to both water lines and applied my mascara.

Face:
MUA primer
MAC mineralize skin finish shade nw20
MUA conceal & brighten kit in porcelain-beige
Rimmel wake me up concealer ivory
MAC mineralize skin finish natural medium
Soap & Glory solar powder
Sleek blush coral
MUA brow kit

Eye's:
MUA professional eyes primer
Crown brush 88 palette
Rimmel kohl pencil jet black
Maybelline lasting drama gel eyeliner intense black
Revlon eyelash curler
MUA mega volume mascara
MUA every lash mascara

Lips:
Soap & Glory Fabu lipstick the missing pink
So there we go my first ever valentines look, by all means you can wear this for any other occasion too haha. I hope you guys like this neutral look as much as i do and if there is any looks in particular you would like to see just leave me a comment, i will be more than happy to give it a try. Also if you are interested in the Crown Brush palette than this is where you can buy it. Thank you all for reading, have a wonderful day/night and i shall see you all again soon x

Dare I Say This Out Loud....Spending Ban!

Hello lovelies, i hope your all well. So as you can tell from the title I'm putting myself on a spending ban....oooh that was hard to say. But only for this month, however with the exception of my birthday. I figure spending my birthday money near the end on the month wouldn't be cheating.....would it?

I thought i would do a quick post to let you all know this, so there wont be new products so to speak this month. However there is still products that i haven't reviewed yet and i am waiting on a order from MUA, so actually it might not be quite so bad haha. I also wanted to post this so i have said it out loud...well so to speak, so that i actually put all my effort in to this as it's not just floating around in my head. I want to do this as i think for the last few months i have been buying for the sake of buying when i used to buy just the things that i really wanted. I know a lot of bloggers do spending bans for a longer period of time but i thought a month would be enough for me, to hopefully open my eyes in my spending habits.
Oooooh no more spending for meeee!
I know this may seem like a senseless post, i suppose in a way it is and I'm doing it for my own mental reasons haha. But if you are also on a spending ban leave a comment, it'll be nice to know who else is doing it also. Thank you for reading this odd little ramble haha and i shall see you all again soon x

NOTD: No7 Winter Tale

Hello lovelies, hope you've all had a lovely day. On my nails today i have a stunning winter colour, well i think so anyway.
I love this colour, it's a light pale grey which i also think has lilac tones, this may not make sense to some and it may just be me being crazy but in some lights this looks like a dirty lilac. I only own one other polish from No7 in a darker shade so i was really pleased that i only needed two coats of this even with it being quite light. I also really liked the formula and brush as i found it really easy to apply and it dried really quick. I also find that this lasts reasonably well on my nails as well, which is a bonus.

You can pick No7 products up from Boots and this polish retails at £6. Do you own any No7 polishes? Thank you for reading and i shall see you all soon x

Soap & Glory Fabu Lipstick: The Missing Pink

Hello lovelies, i hope your all having a great week. As you can tell from the title i am sharing yet another new lipstick, i know naughty Becky haha. Normally i go for Rimmel lipsticks but i saw this in Boots the other week and thought i would give it a try as i do like Soap & Glory as a brand.
The whole look just screams Soap & Glory to me, it comes in a cute little box and you have the S&G stamped into the lippy. The packaging of the lippy itself is quite large and weighty but i actually really like this, it may sound crazy but it makes me feel like a I'm applying some really expensive luxurious lipstick. This is a collagen boosting lipstick so is meant to give you a gorgeous full pout. My lips are already quite plump so i don't really notice much difference, but i didn't get it for that reason anyway. I was really won over by the colour but more so because it contains Shea butter and vitamin E, which makes it so moisturising i never get dry lips when i wear this. It is quite a sheer finish so i find this shade perfect for a natural look or if you have quite heavy eye make-up so you just want to keep your lips simple.
As I said earlier i picked this up from Boots and it was on offer for £6 but it's original price is £9, so it's still quite reasonable. If like me you have dry lips but would rather wear a lippy than a chap stick, i personally think this would be perfect for you. As you can imagine as it's so moisturising it glides on like a dream, but I'm not going to lie if your doing something like eating, kissing, etc. it doesn't last that long. But i have no problem reapplying this after I've ate, drank etc. as it just makes my lips feel so soft and smooth. Have you tried any Soap & Glory lipsticks? Thank you for reading and i shall see you all again soon x
