MUA: Matte Perfect Primer

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a nice Easter weekend. So this is a product i bought aaaages ago and have been meaning to do a review on for some time now, so much so I've had the photo's on my computer for weeks.
"Formulated for oil prone skin, will mattify complexion and provide the perfect base for foundation. can be worn alone or under foundation."

Now off the mark i will say i do not have really oily skin, i just get a slightly oily nose so please bare in mind if you do your opinion may differ. On first impressions i found this primer a bit odd as it's a pale orange in colour and quite thick in consistency, seem as i am use to using the professional primer from MUA which is more like a moisturiser. It also has a very different texture as when it's first applied you can notice it on your skin and it leaves a very smooth velvet feeling finish. When i first ever wore this, before i applied my foundation, i couldn't help but stroke my skin as it felt really lovely and soft.

As i said i do only get slightly oily around my nose, not something that is normally a huge issue but it can break through my foundation at the end of the day. I personally haven't noticed a massive difference but to be fair to the product it is very rare i have my makeup on all day. The down side i have is the size of the tube and the amount of product i find i have to apply for a nice even coverage, i bought this online so i wasn't aware it was such a small tube.

However with that said i do like this product as a every now and then primer as it gives a really nice base for my foundation and therefore makes my makeup look really nice and polished. And compared to other price tags of some primers it's also a winner in my eyes to at just £4, as always you can find MUA in selected Superdrug stores or online. Have you tried this primer, if so what are your thoughts? Thank you for reading, i hope you have a wonderful day and Easter and i shall see you again soon x

NOTD: Matte Pastel Purple

Hello lovelies hope your all having a nice Monday so far. Today is another nail post as although they're simple i think the colour is very fitting to some polishes I've seen around lately and this is also kind of a Easter colour as well.
I used Barry M's berry ice cream which i only needed two coats of and then to get the matte effect i used Rimmel's pro matte finish topcoat. I love this matte topcoat and normally always but it on black and grey polishes but as it's coming round to spring (even though the weather apparently doesn't know that here in England) i thought i would see what nice colour combinations i could come up with.

I hope you like these nails even though they are incredibly simple, what colour would you put this matte polish on top of? Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

NOTD: Topshop Gone Fishing

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good week. I've titled this post nails of the day but to be honest it's been more like nails of the week haha. I finally decided to try one of Topshops nail polishes as I've seen them around on You Tube and blogs quite a bit recently. I must admit they do have a very good colour range but the one that caught my eye the most was gone fishing.
I'm a massive fan of jade green nails, hence why i kept this on till the bitter end which is a big deal cause i normally change my nails a lot. I was also super impressed with the formula, i only needed two applications and it was really easy to apply, it dried really fast and it lasted really well. I didn't think i would be a massive fan for some reason but i was wrong and i shall certainly be picking up a lot more shades.

Topshop polishes are only £5 each, so a huge range of super lovely shades for an affordable price i think. Do you own any Topshop's polishes, which ones do you recommend? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and I'll see you all again soon x

MAC: Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle

Hello lovelies, hope your having a good start to the week. This morning i wanted to share my thoughts on one of the MAC products i got for my birthday last month. I fell in love with this product the second i laid eyes on it so yes I'm sorry but this is going to be another rave review on this beautiful highlighter.
I will hold my hands up and say I'm a sucker for baked makeup, they are just so so pretty it's unreal and i think soft and gentle is a classic example of how pretty baked makeup can be. And as always I'm a sucker for MAC packaging, it's simple and sturdy.
It's a beautiful soft goldy champagne coloured highlighter with a shimmer, but not over the top. As you can see I'm very pale yet this is subtle enough for me to use. I know you might not be able to see the swatch that well i am sorry if you can't. This is perfect for making your skin look bright and youthful as well as really highlighting your cheek bone and making it more pronounced. It's really creamy so it's super blendable and a little bit really does go a long way. I personally see this as a very luxurious highlighter and i certainly feel a million bucks when i have it on (which is basically whenever i wear makeup haha), it's perfect for everyday ware as well as using a touch more for those special nights out.

I know you've properly read what I've just said a million times as this has been one product bloggers have gone crazy over, but I'm afraid for me the hype is true, it truly is a beautiful highlighter. You can purchase this from your local MAC store or concession (for example mine is located in House of Fraser) or online for £21.50. A price tag i know may seem a bit extreme to some, it would be to me if i didn't buy this out of my birthday money, but as i said it's a beautifully luxurious highlighter. Do you also own this highlighter or is it one you drool over like me before i snapped it up? Thank you all for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

The Movies Tag

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good day. So as you can tell by the title this is going to be a bit of a more personal post, i know some of you would like to know a little bit more about my personality so i thought this would be a great tag for me to do as i am a bit of a film geek. I wasn't actually tag tagged (if that makes sense haha) i was just watching Sammi from The Sammi Maria Show on You Tube, you probably all know and love her cause she's wonderful. But yeah i was watching her video and thought it was a tag that i really wanted to do for you lot as i do love my films, so here we go.

1. Favourite movie of all time? I always hate this question as i have many favourites but i suppose i would have to choose Batman the dark knight.

2. Favourite scene from that movie? When the Joker is speaking to all the gangsters and does the "disappearing pencil trick".

3. Favourite actors/actresses? Well for actors I'd say Johnny Depp, Tom Hardy, Tom Hanks, Jack Nichoson, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogan. And actresses i don't really have many, Helena Bonham Carter, Natalie Portman,  Whoopi Goldberg.

4. Most annoying actor/actresses? Although i do like some of their films I'd have to say Jim Cary and Adam Sandler, now that I'm getting older and so are they i just kind them really cringe worthy.

5.Best Director? I love Tim Burton.

6. Favourite guilty pleasure film? I'm not really that guilty about it but The rocky horror picture show, and yes i do basically know it word for word and will sing all the songs haha.

7. Favourite tear jurker? The only film that has made me cry like a baby has been the time travellers wife, god i must of still been crying for half hour after it had finished haha. Also I'm a big baby when it comes to Disney films and Monsters Inc. brings a tear to my eye's too haha.

8.Character from a movie that scared you the most? I have a love of horror's but i also have an imagination that out right hates me so i think the one that has stuck in my head for my mind to play on the most has been Toby from Paranormal activity and the horrible ghost things from The Grudge.

9.Movie you love everyone hates? Urmm i think quite a few of my childhood films like Willow, labyrinth, dark crystal and legend.

10. Movie you hate everyone loves? I will probably get so much hate but things like back to the future, Greece, top gun, pretty woman etc.

11. Favourite movie duo? I really liked Will Ferrel and Jon Heder in blades of glory.

12. Favourite animated movie? So many Disney films of course but i do love Monsters Inc.

13. Actor/actress crush? Tom Hardy, Johnny Depp, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds and I'm also oddly attracted to Jack Nicholson and Anthony Hopkins.

14. Favourite movie villain? I am obsessed with the Joker, think he's amazing.

15. What movie surprised you the most? Law abiding citizen, amazing film.

16. If you could only keep one movie what would it be? Wow now that is a tough one, just so i pick something different to my favourite movie I'll pick Labyrinth because it reminds me of my childhood.

17. Movie recommendation and for whom? V for vendetta and for everyone, i love this film and think everyone should give it a watch. Also the hole, Leon and i love you man.

18. If you could go back in time and marry an actor/actress from back when (now old) who would it be? Jack Nicholson i love him playing McMurphy in one flew over the cuckoo's nest.

19.One remake you wish had never been made? Pretty much any if I've really liked the first film because they always take it too far like saw, the hangover, paranormal activity etc.

20. About to die and could only watch one more movie what would it be? Nightmare Before Christmas, another one of my childhood classics and i could sing along to it.

21. Favourite movie genre/favourite movie from that genre? I'm a big horror/thriller and comedy kinda gal so I'll pick one from both. Horror/thriller would be the crow and for comedy superbad.

22. What's the first movie you remember watching in the theatre? Off the top of my head the first one i can think of was Spacejam haha.

So there you go now you know a little bit more about me and what i like to watch. I tag anyone who wants to do this, just leave me a little link below if you do so i can see what movies you've chose. Hope you all have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Seven Deadly Sins Series: Pride

Hello lovelies hope your all having a lovely weekend. As you can see from the title i have started a make-up series on the seven deadly sins, I know it's nowhere near Halloween but i thought it would be fun. For those who don't know or can't remember the seven deadly sins are pride, envy, lust, wrath, sloth, greed and gluttony, and i have decided to start with my interpretation of pride.
This isn't completely what i had in visioned but i do still like it and think it still represents my interpretation of pride. I had pictured a strong woman almost business like, with really strong jawline and cheek bones. This is why i have done excessive contouring and slicked my hair back into a tight ponytail, the look is pretty much my everyday look but everything hardened and stronger.

Face
MUA primer
MAC mineralize skinfinish foundation NW20
Rimmel wake me up concealer ivory
MUA concealer & highlight kit
MAC mineralize skinfinish natural in medium
Soap & Glory solar powder (contour)
MUA artiste palette (contour)
MAC mineralize skinfinish soft & gentle
Sleek blush in coral
MUA eyebrow palette

Lips
MAC creme cup

Eyes
Crown brush 88 palette
Rimmel glam'eyes liquid liner
Rimmel Kohl eyeliner pencil
MUA mega volume masscara
Revlon eyelash curlers

So there we go my take on pride, what is your initial image of pride? I hope you enjoyed this post and will come back to see the rest of the deadly sins, i plan on doing one a week. Thank you for reading, i hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

A Bit Of A Catch Up

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good week. So as you can guess from the tittle this is just going to be a bit of a catch up, just thought it would be nice to have a little chat and include a few little things in the same post. So go fetch a cuppa, not that i plan on waffling for that long but that's what us English always do with a chat haha.

Firstly i want to say a big congratulations to Sophie over at Punky pugs on winning my 250 follower giveaway. But i also want to say a massive thank you to all of you who follow me and entered, i was shocked with how many comments and entries the giveaway got. It is soppy but i do appreciate each and everyone of you and it's you lot that make blogging so enjoyable.

On the same kind of subject I'm sure your all aware of the whole whoo haa over google reader. Now i have no idea what's going on what changes it's going to mean, whether that means GFC is going to be affected from it, but i do know that's what a lot of you favour to follow blogs (just like me). On the side of my blog just under the GFC you'll see other ways of following me, Google+ , Bloglovin, Hello cotton, Instagram and also my twitter. With Bloglovin you can also import all the other blogs you follow via GFC and it is incredibly simple to do i have literally just done it myself. Simply make a Bloglovin account if you haven't already and then straight away you'll see a little notice on the home page about Google Reader shutting down on the 1st of July, just click on the links and it does it for you. I'm not too pleased if GFC will be going as i don't understand why and it's also what i go by to do my follower milestone giveaways, so I'm going to have to work something out for the next one.

And the last thing i wanted to chat about is a few little ideas I've had floating around post wise but wasn't to sure if you guys would like it so i thought as it's you who'll read it I'll just ask haha. I woke up the other day wanting to do a make-up series and was thinking of doing the seven deadly sins or maybe comic book characters, would any of you want to see this? And also in last Sunday's bbloggers chat about types of posts i was talking to someone saying how I'm a bit of a ranty person in life and have thought about doing posts on some things i just don't understand. Now this wouldn't be like a post a week just as and when something comes up, i know some people said they would like to see more personal posts but is that a bit of a no no? Lastly over the last few weeks i have been thinking a lot about starting up my own You tube channel to go side by side with my blog. I'm not sure when i would be able to do this as i don't own a camera and i don't want to use something that's going to be really bad quality so it'll be when i can afford to get one. I was just wondering in how many of you would actually be interested?

Thank you all for reading, i know I've kind of bombarded you all with questions haha but i do want to do posts you'll be interested in as well as thing's that i just want to blog about. Also i do want to say a quick sorry for not posting all to much lately, i have been knuckling down a bit on my make-up course, if your new and want to know more about the course I'm doing here's the post i done earlier this year. So again thank you for reading, have a fantastic weekend and i shall see you all again soon x

Topshop Haul

Hello lovelies, hope your having a good start to the week. So some of you may remember that on my birthday gifts & haul i said that i had won two giveaways, well one of them was from the amazing Zoella and Topshop for a £500 gift card. I know i was in a lot of shock too haha, i actually convinced myself that it was a con until it arrived the other week! So i thought i would share the few bits that i have got so far.
-Topshop lips lipstick in Brighton rock £8
-Nail art rock chic £3.50
-Earth ring £3.50 (sale)
-Sleeveless check shirt £26
-Latin quote jumper £30
I have to mention just how soft this jumper is, i want to live in it, especially on these horrible wet windy days.
- Topman Geek t shirt £16
-Embroidered Tiger jumper £38
As soon as i saw this jumper i fell in love, the detailing on the tiger is stunning.
-MOTO black acid wash jeans £38
-Disco treggings (pants) £30
I just had to pick a pair of disco pants up as I've wanted a pair for such a long time and i love these they are so comfortable.
TENT hi top trainers £35

So there we go, that's what i have treated myself too so far. Obviously i haven't spent it all, luckily i went shopping with the Mr and he kept me grounded and didn't allow me to spend it all at once and to keep some money on the card for the spring/summer. I love what i have picked up as i can never afford to shop there so i wanted to get a few outfits that i can mix and match. Do you have any of the bits I've picked up? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you again soon x

MAC: Creme Cup Lipstick

Hello lovelies, hope your all enjoying your weekend so far. Today i have my second MAC lipstick which i bought with some of my birthday money. I saw this lippy so many times from blogging and You Tube that i walked in pretty much knowing it was the lipstick i was going to get. And i have been in love with it since, it has literally been the only lippy i have worn since i bought it haha.
It's from the cremesheen collection so it's a really nice creamy lipstick which i find really great for my dry lips and has a slight glossy shine finish. It's a stunning natural pink which looks beautiful for those hardly any make-up days and i also love pairing it with a neutral smokey eye. I also think it's a perfect colour for a wide age range as well, as it's not too much on the baby pink side that it only works well for the more younger gals. I can certainly see this being a lipstick that i will always have in my collection.

You can pick this lovely beauty up from your local MAC store or concession (for example my local one is situated in House of Fraser) or you can always order online. Are you in love with this lippy as much as me? Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Barry M: New Textured Nail Paint

Hello lovelies, hope your all well and having a lovely day. So i have another nail post for you today this time on the two new textured nail paints by Barry M that i got for my birthday.
Please excuse the chip in the photo I should of taken a photo when i first applied them instead of after a fer days of wear. If your into your nails you will probably be very awear that textured nails seem to be popping up quite a bit lately, and these are two from Barry M's new addition. This leaves what i would call like a rough concrete appearance, it gives grunge chick nails but in lovely pastel colours. I picked my two favourite shades Ridley road which is a beautiful mint green and Kingsland road which is a pretty baby pastel pink.

I applied three coats to ensure complete streak free coverage, like most Barry M polishes i really like the formula and find it dries quite quickly. Now many would probably already realise this but you can't apply a top coat with this as it gets rid of the textured effect, yes i did try and as soon as i put it on one nail i realised how much of a fool i was. But even without a top coat i found it lasted rather well as i had it on for a few days before it chipped on both index fingers. Normally I'm not a massive fan of textured nails as they just annoy me but this didn't bother me at all. It was also surprisingly very easy to remove as well, which is a massive plus point for me.

I picked these up from Boots but you can also pick up Barry M polishes from Superdrug or from their website, these textured nail paint are £3.99 each and also come in yellow and blue. Have you tried these polishes out yet, are you a textured nail fan? Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Tag: Why Do You Wear Make-up?

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a nice day. So earlier today i was tagged by the lovely Julz from Julz' Obsessions to do the why do you wear make-up? tag. I have seen this tag floating about for a little while now so I'm really glad i got tagged as i suppose it gives you a little more insight to what I'm like and not just my opinion on a certain product. So lets jump to it...

When did you begin to love make-up?
Well believe it or not i use to be a massive tom boy, i still am a little bit at heart i think. But I wasn't one of these girls in secondary school who loved their make-up and was constantly reapplying lip gloss, although with that said i did love my mascara and eye liner. It was only really after becoming a mum (back in 2011) that i wanted to take a bit of pride in my appearance and actually look a bit womanly. And around that time i got into the world of You Tube and blogging and it was mainly through that i just found this underlying passion for it.

How do you feel without make-up?
Now I'm not going to lie, if it's just my little family at mine and I'm not going out the house i ain't bothered but i am the type of person who will put their face on to pop to the shop. Now that i conceal, wear foundation, contour and fill in my brows i dislike what my natural face looks like, it makes me feel naked and not that attractive. However with that said i do not put my face on to feel attractive to other men, it's basically to please myself and so i feel more confident around other woman,  i know that may seem odd but a lot of woman in the "real word" are incredibly judgemental when it comes to looks. I also like to wear make up so that people don't think that I'm some council estate teenage mother, now i really don't mean that in a nasty way or to put anyone down, but we all know this world is judging and people do put you down on face value. I have a baby face and before i fell in love with make up I'd get funny looks whilst pushing my son around, however now I'm just a "normal" mother who fits the mold.
Before i bothered with make-up Vs how i am now
What do you like about make-up?
I think the main thing i love about make-up is how it can completely transform someones confidence and therefore happiness. I find it very upsetting when people think their ugly and hate the way they look, now i know earlier i said i dislike how i look naturally but there's a huge difference between that and someone actually hating their own face. Yet with i few simple little items they can actually feel confident and walk around with their head help high, now i think that's an amazing thing. I'm also an incredibly artistic person and i do consider make-up an art so i thoroughly enjoy doing it and find it very relaxing and enjoyable to do.

Three "holy grail" products?
-My first would probably be the MAC mineralize skinfinish natural in medium, i love love love this powder and yes although it is on the pricey side i think it just makes my skin look almost flawless and is really great for setting your concealer.
-I suppose i would also pick my MUA pro-base conceal and highlight kit, as i find it conceals my dark circles quite well and i love the highlighter cream.
-And lastly another MUA product but this time their mega volume mascara, i bloody love this mascara, i would go as far as saying it's the best one I've tried and i am currently on my second.

I tag all of you who haven't already done this tag and would like to do so, if you do make sure to leave me a comment so i can have a little look. I hope you enjoyed this post and got to know a tiney tiny bit more about me. Thank you all for reading, have a great day and i shall see you all again soon x

NOTD: Rimmel Black Cherries

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good week. Sorry i haven't been about much this week, i shall try and do a few posts over the weekend. I got this polish quite a few weeks ago now so i thought i would finally try it out.
This photo does make the polish appear slightly more on the black side, but in life it is a really nice rich dark blackcurrant kind of purple. I did apply two coats just to make sure there was no streaks, and i really like this formula as it applies really easy and dries quickly.

I picked this polish up from Boots for around £3 i believe, was certainly under the £5 mark. Are you a fan of purple nails? Thanks for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

NOTD: Ruby glitter & White

Hello lovelies, i hope your all having a good start to the week. Today I'm sharing my nails of the day and i was feeling a bit different and this is what i decided on.
I bought this glitter polish before Christmas and I've been meaning to try it for all this time but was never sure on what colour to pair it with. I must admit i normally hate white nails but i thought it would be the best background colour to use for the glitter to really show up and i actually quite like how it turned out.

You can pick up Barry M nail paints from Boots or Superdrug or alternatively online, this glitter is called Ruby and is £2.99. Any white polish you have will do for underneath, i just used my Collection 2000 french white. Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

February Favourites

Hello lovelies, hope your all well and having a great week. As you can tell from the title in this post i will be sharing what products i liked the most through February, surprisingly i don't have many for this month.
I'm not going to say to much as i do have a full post on each individual product.
MUA F5 Brush: I have been loving this brush and it has been the only one I've used to apply my powder since i got it. It's really soft and i find it applies really well, if you'd like to know more here is my earlier post.
MUA Shimmer Kisses Bronzer: I have been using this all month for my highlighter and think it's stunning, especially for the price. If you want to know more and see swatches please read here.
MUA Pro-Base Conceal & Brighten Kit: I have been using mainly the highlight cream to brighten up my under eye area and check bone. I love how easy it is to blend and find it really makes a difference under my powder, for swatches and more detail please read here.
MUA Mega Volume Mascara: This has certainly been my go to mascara as of late, along with using my Revlon eye lash curler it creates dream lashes. I love the wand, it doesn't clump or make my lashes look horrible, it just gives off lovely big beautiful lashes. And i also like that i can add a few coats of this mascara with ease and still get lovely lashes. I thought i done a post on this mascara but i cant seem to find it so if you would like a post on this please let me know.
Soap & Glory Fabu Lipstick: This has pretty much been the only lipstick i have worn this month, i have it in shade the missing pink and i simply love it. For swatches and a lot more information here is my earlier post on this lovely lippy.
Now moving on to hair care products...
Toni & Guy Shampoo & Deep Conditioning Mask: Both of these are for blond hair but you can also get this for different types of hair. I do also have the conditioner to the set but i have especially been loving the mask so thought i would just leave it out but i do like it. I love this shampoo not only for how clean it gets my hair but mainly for how much it soaps up (i can't really think of the right term but I'm sure you'll know what i mean haha) and you only need a little bit. Now for someone that has a lot of long thick hair it's fantastic, as other people who are the same will know with some brands you need to use like half the bottle to get it to soap up and feel like it's cleaned all your hair.
Now for the deep conditioning mask...oh my word i love this. I have been doing it about once a week and again like the shampoo you don't need loads and loads of it to completely saturate your hair. I like to leave this on whilst i have a nice soak in the bath so it really nourishes all my hair. I really like the smell and it's super easy to wash out, which is brilliant cause who wants to wash their hair for like a hour haha. I have ombre hair so the ends are pretty damaged but this leaves my hair feeling lovely and soft.
Macadamia Healing Oil Spray: From the products that i have tried from Macadamia i love them all, but this month i have really been loving this one in particular. I spray this on after i have blown dried my hair and it takes away any fizz, makes my horrible split ends look a million times better and just leaves my hair feeling healthy and manageable. It also smells fantastic and leaves your hair looking glossy. I also really love that it comes out as a really fine mist so i find it easy not to use too much and it absorbers instantly so you can't feel it in your hair.

Like i said earlier there isn't a load of products for this month but i do think i will be making up for that in my March favourites as i have already fallen in love with some recent purchases. Have you tried any of my favourite products for this month? Thank you for reading, have a lovely day and i shall see you all again soon x
