Seven Deadly Sins Series: Gluttony

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful day. Firstly i want to apologise to all of you who have been following this series, the makeup look i tried last week went wrong and i didn't want to post rubbish work, I'm sure you'll all understand. Anyway on with this weeks look and my gosh did i have so much fun doing this colourful playful look.
Gluttony for me is indulging in all things sweet so i wanted a very sweet sickly candy creation, i also think i border lined on looking a little like Nicki Minaj haha.

MAC mineralize skinfinish liquid foundation NW20
MUA cover & conceal wand natural
MUA conceal & brighten kit
MUA professional eye primer
MAC mineralize skinfinish natural medium
Soap & Glory solar powder
MAC blusher mocha
MAC mineralize skinfinish soft & gentle
MUA pro brow kit

Eyes:

Maybelline lasting drama gel eyeliner black
Revlon eyelash curlers
MUA mega volume mascara
Crown Brush 88 palette
Sleek respect palette shade new jack pink

MAC viva glam Nicki

And for the finishing touch i placed some hundreds and thousands strands on my lips and used the eyelash glue to stick it to my cheek bones. Just to make it up to all those who come to my blog every Sunday to see these looks, here's a shameful Nicki Minaj like photo haha.
So there we have it my look for gluttony, what do you think of when you think of this look? I think i indulge in a few to many cream slices haha, what do you like to treat yourself to maybe a little bit too much? Thank you so much for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

YouTube Video's Get Ready With Me & Haul

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful day. It has just dawned on me that for some unknown reason i have not posted that i have done two new YouTube videos in the last two weeks. I did tweet about them so if you want to keep completely up to date in what I'm up to that's probably the safest way, but now that i have remembered i will also post about them for all of you that don't or don't want a twitter account.
This is just my everyday kind of quick makeup routine that I'm favouring at the moment. Very attractive thumbnail image right haha.
And this is my most recent, just a collective haul on bits and bobs I've picked up for my makeup room and my makeup kit. This one is quite lengthy so you might want to grab yourself a cuppa before you sit down and watch it haha.

Please let me know if there are any videos in particular you would like to see me do, I'm very interested in what you would like to see from me. I would also very much appreciate if you could subscribe to my channel also, if you like and want to of course haha. Thanks for reading and watching, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

NOTD: Purple Speckle

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good week. Today I'm featuring two of the polishes i bought from the Boots beauty night extravaganza event i went to on Monday. Speckled nails seem to be everywhere this season especially after Illamasqua launching their collection which are beautiful but too expensive for me, and Loreal releasing the confetti top coat polish.
When i saw these two in my basket i immediately wanted to put them together and they didn't disappoint. I can't express how much i love these nails, they may actually stay on until they chip, which is a big deal for me haha. To create this look i used Models Own grape juice polish from their scented range and the Loreal Paris confetti top coat.

The final look slightly resembles the Illamasqua's speckle polish swatches I've seen around which i was very happy with. I love the fact that this works out cheaper and i get two separate polishes so i can use the confetti polish on which ever colour i please. As i said i picked both of these up from Boots and they where £5 each, you can also buy Models Own polishes online. What are your thoughts on this trend? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Hair Removal Methods

Hello lovelies, hope your all well and having a great week so far. So in England the sun is finally starting to show his head and bless us with wonderful sunshine and warmth, something we have all been longing for since October no doubt haha. BBQ's, beaches, long afternoons, sun bathing, tans, ahhh the list is endless to what i can't wait for and no doubt what you other lovely ladies can't wait for either. But there's one thing which will annoy all of us more than normal...hair removal! Whether it's waxing, shaving or laser hair removal we all do our best to strip it off so we're silky smooth for those bikini's and hot pants.

As the sun has popped it's head out a few times i have been thinking about getting some new summer dresses, a pair of hot pants and some fake tan as i am so pale I'm grey haha. And along with those thoughts have been getting rid of hair, mainly leg hair and what methods i could try as I'm a slave to the shaver and always have been. I'm sure many of you use this method and yes it's effective but i find I'm only silky smooth for about a day and i suffer with shaving rash which is worse in the summer as i shave more and it's then not something i want to have on show, so I've been looking into what else is open to me.
Image taken from Google
So I've already mentioned the shaver and pretty much what i think of that, i think the next step up from that is hair removal creams, which is something i tried once before and never bothered using again as i found they smelt, cost a lot for only roughly two applications and basically left me with the same results as shaving. Then there's waxing which interests me as your meant to be smooth for a few weeks but then the pain and having to grow your hair before you can do it again makes me think i couldn't do this method. These are so far all things you can do at home and are fairly inexpensive but there is another method that is rather interesting but does have a price tag....laser hair removal. One clinic I've come across which holds many clinics across England and Scotland is sk:n clinics, this one in particular intrigues me as they have reviews from other bloggers as well as Red magazine and being used by TV shows. It has also made me think more as they have a spring offer on laser hair removal and we all love something when it's on offer. I certainly think if it's something you can afford it's a very tempting method to use, maybe this is just a dream method for me.

I'm still very undecided on what method i will chose to help the bane of hair removal this summer but it certainly is something that's very much on my mind. What method do you opt for, have you had or thought of laser hair removal? Obviously anyone thinking about laser hair removal should do their research and go for a consultation first. Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Boots Beauty Night Extravaganza & Haul

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful day. Last week my dad gave me a leaflet he was given in Boots for me (he's friendly with a few of the girls there as they know he gives his points to me) about a event they was holding on Monday. As soon as i read beauty night extravaganza and free goody bag i was all over it and was very excited about going, as i haven't been to a beauty or blogging event and this sounded amazing. Of course i asked my best friend if she would like to come along with me as it's also slightly up her street and i thought it would be a good laugh and a nice treat night.

I would of loved to of took photo's but I'm still really shy and as it wasn't actually a blogging event i didn't want to be the only one there taking photo's, I'm hoping with the more events i go to and the longer i blog this will change. The Boots that the event was held was in drake circus mall and it is huge i have spent many hours in there haha. There was people walking around with drinks and chocolates and every concession had there own raffle. Sadly the goody bag wasn't quite as i imagined, i thought it would be a free one everyone would get just full of little samples (nothing major) however each concession had there own little goody bag but you had to buy a certain amount to get one.

At the best of times i can spend quite a bit in Boots, of both time and money that is haha so of course i was in my element and went a little crazy, but everything was on offer so that's justifiable right? haha.
Because i bought more than three items on the single little makeup stands (Revlon, Maybelline, Rimmel etc.) i got these in a nice little goody bag.
I then bought three items from the Loreal Paris concession but i let my friend choose the free one as it was 3 for 2 hence why there's only two polishes on the left, and because i bought three items i then got another goody bag from the loreal concession, which are the products in the right photo.

Luckily there was 10% off everything in store as it all came to just over £40 before which made me feel a little bit naughty but i only paid £35, which is brilliant as I've worked out that i have around £60-£70 worth of goods. As always i will do individual posts on all the items, minus the shaver unless you want a review on that haha. Have a Boots near you held any events like this? Thanks for reading hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Review: Models Own Pink Punch

Hello lovelies, hope your all well and having a wonderful week. Today i am sharing my thoughts on one  of the polishes from the Models Own ice neon collection, which was released about a month ago i think. Neon was big last year and it looks like it will be again this spring/summer. I will admit I'm not a massive fan of neon but i was attracted to the ice neon range as they have a matte effect.
I love how the bottle looks, there's something about a bright colour in a frosted bottle that just makes it far more appealing in my opinion. As your probably already aware i am obsessed with Models Own polishes and have quite the collection, and yet again i love the formula from this collection. I found that i only needed two coats to get a vibrant nail and it dried quite quickly. I find the colour bang on for those sunny days that are soon coming, as you can see it's quite an orange/coral pink instead of a neon barbie pink.

The only difference with this range is that Models Own have advised to keep them in the fridge to keep them so vibrant and to prevent them from fading. They are also a matte effect, now i found this one did still have a slight shine so for this swatch i did apply my matte top coat to get a full matte effect. I'm not sure if this is just the bottle i picked up or that is the actual finish for the whole range, but even without me applying my matte top coat it still looked nice. However if you did want this colour but with a glossy finish just simply add a glossy top coat and you'll get that desired look.

What do you think about neon nails, are you a fan, if you are do you own any shades from this range yet?  You can buy Models Own polishes from Boots drug stores or if you'd prefer you can buy them online. Thank you so much for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x
P.S. I'm now on YouTube, there's a button on the side bar and i would love if you could give it a look x

My First MAC Blush: Mocha

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a brilliant day. I am on a massive post roll to make up for being a little MIA over the last few weeks haha. Today i am sharing my thoughts on my first ever MAC blusher which i was very fourtunate to win from Siobhan from All that glitters, so another huge thank you hun! I got to decide on a shade and as i have never even looked at their blushes i had to pop in and swatch them all haha and i finally decided on Mocha.
Now in the pan it may not look anything special as it is just another dusky pink blush, however do not turn a blind eye to this secret little beauty. As you all know i am very pale so i do use this with a very light hand as it is very pigmented and you only need a little bit. This gives such a wonderful natural flush to the cheeks and it is perfect for everyday wear. I think it certainly gives that classic english rose beauty which is exactly why i have fallen for it. If your looking for a wow out there blush then no this isn't the one to choose, but if you want a classic everyday natural beauty that will look stunning all year round then it certainly is. As it's a powder blush it's extreamly easy to work with and blends wonderfully so your cheeks look flawless.

MAC blushes obviously come with a heavy price tag of £17.50...ouch, but as it is so highly pigmented you only need a light sweep and it is a shade you can wear everyday, all year round so personally i think that softens the blow. I know some of you may think yeah but you got this as a gift but i would honestly re-purchase this when mine finally runs out, although i can see it lasting me a life time from the little i need to use. You can pick this and other MAC products from your local MAC store (mine is located in House of Fraser) or online. Do you own any MAC blushers? Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Family Day Out

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a lovely week. So this post is very different for me but when i done my 250 follower giveaway i found a lot of you said you'd like more personal style posts. Well on Sunday we took baby monster to our local aquarium as he is obsessed with fish and sharks, so i thought I'd take a few more snaps than usual and share it with you lovely lot. So be prepared this will be a rather photo heavy post but if you like fish then I'm sure you'll love it haha.
This is the octopus, at first you may not make it out, now when i took the photo i couldn't really see him just kind of made out a sucker so just guessed and took the photo. I then saw this picture on the little screen and it freaked me the hell out as you can see all his legs and big head and *shudders* yeah just all stuff that was darkness before haha.
I tried to keep these in order as you see them when your walking round, there are quite a few photo's I've missed out as this was getting quite lengthy. The aquarium we went to was the Plymouth national marine aquarium and i love it there, we have took baby monster lots of times. What i really really love about it there though is when you visit you get an annual pass, so you can go free as many times as you like within a year (which starts the day you go, not a calender year) all they ask is if you could make a donation when you do go. And what makes it even more amazing is you don't have to pay extra for it you literally just pay the adult entry price and it's for whoever your paying for, how brilliant is that!

So i realise if you don't like fish this was a very boring post haha but i hope for all of you that do enjoyed it. Thanks for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Seven Deadly Sins Series: Greed

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a nice day. Sorry this post is a day late but here it is haha, my next deadly sin look. Yesterday i was feeling greed as i had an image of the look and what i wanted to do so i thought i would get that one out the way.
I must admit it didn't turn out completely how i wanted and it was looking better in person but i think it still captures the sin and the image i had. I do also feel that you could quite easily use this look for a Greek goddess just add a toga and a hair piece haha. I didn't want a dramatic look like envy but didn't want it to look too plain either, so i opted for taking the eye shadow quite far out and right up to the brow. The only thing that i hadn't envisioned was the hair, I'm not very good when it comes to hair styles but i went for a tight high pony which i think works, i think big volume or curled/wavy hair would of been to much and turned it a bit bad porno haha.

I kept the face fairly simple but was a bit more heavy handed with my MAC soft and gentle highlighter, which was perfect for this look. I went for a nude lip so i used my Maybelline rosewood pearl lipstick and pressed some of the gold eye shadow on top to give it that gold sheen. I was also excited as it gave me the opportunity to try my gold glitter eyeliner from MUA, which i applied on my bottom lash line and on my lashes to add a bit of sparkle.

Products used:

Face:
MUA flawless skin primer
MAC mineralize skinfinish liquid foundation NW20
MUA cover and conceal wand
MUA conceal & brighten kit
MUA professional eye primer
MAC mineralize skinfinish natural
Soap & Glory solar powder
MAC blusher mocha
MAC mineralize skinfinish soft & gentle
MUA pro-brow kit

Eye's:
Rimmel black kohl eyeliner pencil
Maybelline lasting drama gel liner
Revlon eyelash curlers
MUA mega volume mascara
MUA glitter eyeliner shade 4
Front cover eye shadow's in shades frosted almond, twinkling gold, pale gold and copper coin

Lips:
Maybelline coloursensational lipstick rosewood pearl
Front cover eye shadow twinkling gold
So there is my interpretation of my greed, i hope you like this look, what comes to your mind when you think of greed? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x
P.S. I now have a YouTube channel and would love if you could take a look, the link is on my side bar :) xx

Acrylic Lipsick Storage

Hello lovelies, hope your all well. Sorry I've been a bit MIA the last two weeks, I've been a little busy and as the sun hasn't wanted to come out i haven't been able to get any decent photo's but anyway enough of making excuses and onto the actual post haha. I thought this post would be ideal after yesterday's #bbloggers chat last night which was all about how you store your makeup. Well as I'm currently turning the spare room into my makeup room I've been sorting my storage out, at the moment it's anywhere that's out of baby monsters reach, so isn't exactly organised haha. I really love the whole acrylic makeup storage, i think it looks clean, smart and very practical, however lets not lie it comes with a price tag and we all know i love a bargain.
Firstly please excuse the slight crack, it did not arrive like this i stupidly done it myself...i know i wasn't best pleased with myself. I found this on my hunt for a bargain on the wonderful world of eBay for just £3.58 and that's including postage! It holds 24 lipsticks, as you can see i don't own that many...yet  haha. The only slight issue i had with this one is i found my Maybelline lipsticks only fitted easily in the end holders, so i think they are slightly wider but for the price I'm not going to complain about it. Once i get the rest of my acrylic storage (which i have already found i just need to order) i will have this sitting on top.

So i know a lot of you are probably thinking i need to get my hands on this little bargain too so here is where i purchased it from. It is from China but i have bought a few things from China now and i have never had any problems, yes you may have to wait a little longer (although mine has always been rather quick considering) but just look how much your saving. I hope this helps those of you who want a nice makeup set up but with a more affordable price tag. If you would like to see how else i store my makeup or would like a little tour of my makeup room when it's finished then please just let me know. Thanks for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x
P.S Did you know I've started a YouTube channel, why not follow the link on my side bar and check it out, it would make me really happy :) xx

Seven Deadly Sins Series: Envy

Hello lovelies, hope your all well and having a great day. So as you can figure from the title this post is my next deadly sin look, but before i go into it i just want to apologise for not doing a look last week. Anyway today i decided on envy as i had a clear image of what i wanted and had some eye shadows that I've been dying to try since i got them on Christmas.
I can not tell you how much fun i had creating this and i am so happy with how it turned out! The only thing i would of liked to have improved would be the lips, a Lime crime green lippy would of been a match made in heaven for this look but sadly i don't own any green lippy's so i had to work with what i had. To me envy is something that takes over a person and is almost bipolar as i think you can feel very sad or angry with it. Which is why i wanted a hard yet soft look which is fading down the cheeks, around the eye socket and towards the hair line, almost as if the envy was slowly taking over...if that makes sense. I wanted to keep the rest of the face fairly simple as the eye makeup is rather dramatic and as it's the main feature i didn't want to take away from it in anyway. To harden the face slightly i contoured the cheeks quite heavy and used a mixture of the eye shadows i used on the lips to give them that green dead tint.

Products used:
MUA flawless skin primer
MAC mineralize skinfinish liquid foundation
MUA professional eye primer
MAC mineralize skinfinish medium
MAC mineralize skinfinish soft & gentle
Soap & Glory solar powder
Rimmel black kohl eyeliner pencil
Maybelline lasting drama gel liner
Revlon eyelash curlers
MUA mega volume mascara
Crown brush 88 palette
Front cover eye shadows in shades tarn green, bright aqua & citronella crush

So there we have my interpretation of envy, whats your take and thoughts on envy? Hope you enjoyed this look, thank you so much for reading, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x
P.S i now have a YouTube channel and i would love if you could check it out :) xx

Models Own Scented Polish: Blueberry Muffin

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a lovely weekend. So if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you would of seen that earlier this week I bought three new Models Own polishes from their two new lines, scented and neon. As you can tell from the title I am sharing my thoughts on one of the scented polishes.
Please please excuse the messy nails, for some un-know reason i have been awful at painting my nails lately which is partly why i haven't done any fancy nail art as i just don't seem to have a steady hand. Also in the swatch photo i have applied my matte top coat, it does have a glossy finish but as these are probably everywhere i thought i would show it in matte finish, and also because I'm obsessed with my matte top coat again.

Before i go on to the scent i want to talk about the formula as i have found it different to the normal Models Own polishes as we all know i love and adore haha. I found this quite watery and runny, which leaves the finish a bit streaky so i needed three coats as it's a very pale colour. I did also find it took a little while to dry, which is a bummer as i needed so many coats so for me this certainly isn't a polish i could use in a rush to do my nails. However i do love the really subtle baby blue colour and think it's bang on for spring summer so I do still like the polish and will happily wear it when the sun comes out.

Now on to the scent, as you can see on the top of the bottle there is a little scratch and sniff sticker, so you can try them out while your in the shop. I personally picked the two colours i liked most over the scents, i think if i was going by smell i would of picked up the banana and grape polish. Now i don't eat blueberry muffins so i can't actually say if it does smell like one, but the smell isn't too bad although it does seem a little odd to me. Even with my matte and gloss top coat over the top of these i can still smell the scent, it just obviously isn't quite as strong. For me it isn't really about the scent though as i only pick it up if i actually smell my nails....now who actually smells their nails on a daily basis, hence why i chose the best colours over smell. So even if you don't like the smell but you love the colour i wouldn't feel like it rules that polish out for you.

Models Own polishes retail at £5 each and you can pick them up from Boots, which is where i get mine as there seems to always be some kind of deal on them or you can visit their website. Have you tried any of these scented polishes yet, what's your favourite colour/scent? Hope you guys liked this post, I shall be doing more nail arty posts when my hands don't seem quite as crazy haha. Thank you all for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a great week. So today i have another product that I've been meaning to review for such a long time, at least i don't think I've reviewed this yet haha.
I'll start as always with the packaging, it comes in a little box as you also get a brush, which i think is brilliant as not everyone has a brush they can use straight away for gel eyeliner. The gel eyeliner itself comes in a cute little chunky clouded glass pot, I really love how this looks there's something about it that gives off a chic vibe. The brush is just a fairly short handled eyeliner brush, which i find works rather well and is considerably good for the price.
I was drawn to this as i wanted to try something that i could easily work with to create a winged eyeliner, i will admit i find this really difficult and not a talent i yet hold. I used to wear a gel liner back when i was a teenager, when i wore a bit too much in my waterline and i used to hang around a skate park haha. So thought i may find this easier to use than my liquid and felt eyeliners. I do find this gel easy to work with however i would like to get a small angled brush so i could get a better sharp wing.

As for the actual gel liner i find it really does live up to the name it was given of 'intense black' as it really is black. I find it pretty easy to apply as it's nice and creamy and glides well, so you don't find that your dragging your eyelid when your trying to get a nice line. I have also found that it doesn't budge and stays nicely in place all day.

I certainly think if like me you don't find wings so easy or you just like a gel eyeliner, that this one is certainly worth the money. I love using this over a felt tip liner now and love how you don't need a lot to get a nice even dark black line. This retails at £7.99 and as i say it includes a brush so i defiantly see it as a worth while purchase and will happily buy it again. Have you tried this gel liner yet? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x
