NOTD: Matte Speckled Coral Nails

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful week. As you can tell from the title this post is a nail of the day and the other day i was feeling the L'Oreal confetti top coat but this time i wanted to see what it would look like matte.
(Please excuse the chipped nails, like a fool i took the photo's after i had done the housework instead of before)
Sinfulcolors Island coral £1.99 (i got this from Boots)

Firstly i want to say that i shall do a post with a glossy swatch of the Sinfulcolours island coral as i am in love with the colour and i think it looks quite different matte. I adore each of these polishes and whilst looking at my collection i thought why not see what confetti looks like matte and put it on a colourful base, seem as I'm loving the island coral at the moment of course i chose that.

To create this look i simply applied two coats of island coral and then a generous coat of confetti to get lots of glitter across the whole nail. Then pop on a coat of the matte top coat and TA DA matte speckled coral nails, as easy as that. I love these kind of glitter top coats as it creates nail art that is quick and easy to do, so if your in a hurry or not that confident in nail art it's a great buy and you can put it with any colour you choose.

Are you a fan of the speckled nail craze? X

Review: GOSH Defining Brow Gel

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful week. Today i am sharing my thoughts on a recent purchase i made last week in the Superdrug 3 for 2 mix and match offer, i believe it's on till the 2nd of June so get a wiggle on and take advantage haha.
Brow gels are something that I've never used or really thought about but as i needed a third item for the offer and it was a new "ish" product from GOSH i thought i would give it a try. I use the MUA brow kit to fill in my brows as the hairs are quite sparse in places, don't have the desired shape i want and they never seem to grow....well in the places i want them too anyway. Before this product that was enough for me and i thought they looked quite nice and didn't look to bad as the day went on...boy was i wrong.

I am in love with this gel and now use it every time i do my brows as it makes such a difference. I use this after i have filled in my brows and as well as keeping them in place perfectly for the day it also picks the hairs up slightly (i find filling them in with a powder can sometimes pat them down) which gives them a wonderful natural look.  I love the little wand and find it perfect and easy to use to catch all the hairs and i like to use the tip to catch where the brow tails off. The gel is transparent but i do expect it to turn a brown as obviously the wand will pick up product as your brushing it through. The gel itself is rather light so i don't find it clumps all the hairs together, it dries completly transparent with no shine so it doesn't look like your wearing anything and it is super easy to remove at the end of the day.

Do you use a brow gel as part of your brow routine? X

The Body Shop: Nutriganics Skincare Kit

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful week. Today i am sharing my thoughts on the nutriganics skincare kit from the body shop. The kit contains a foaming facial wash, toner and a day and night cream which are from their organic range so 98% of the ingredients used are of natural origin. It is designed for the first signs of ageing and claims to make your skin softer and smoother.
The Body Shop nutriganics skincare kit £13*

Foaming facial wash 60ml
I have used foaming cleansers before and have found that they make my dry skin a million times worse so i tend to avoid them and stick to cleansing milks, so i was a little hesitant how my skin would react. I was presently surprised to find that this actually improved my combination skin problems and left my skin feeling refreshingly clean and smooth. Being that it's organic it has a pleasant  natural clean smell which is rather subtle and i also found it didn't irritate my eyes. I was also impressed with how well it removed my make-up, which makes my skincare process that much quicker and easier.

Refreshing toner 60ml
I find some toners can leave my skin feeling rather taught and again cause problems with my dry skin so I'm quite picky when it comes to toners. However i find this toner removes any remaining dirt and oils and leaves my skin feeling soft and comfortably taught, with out causing any irritation to my combination skin. I like to put a few drops of this on a damp cotton pad and apply to my face and then blot dry with a tissue. Like the facial wash it has a pleasant fresh organic smell but it is very faint.

Soothing day & night cream 15ml
I must admit day cream is something I'm very slack about but i have seen the benefits of using one on a regular basis. The day cream is nice and light which is quickly absorbed and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth, which is a perfect base for my make-up. Because of this i have also noticed that i haven't been reaching for a primer as my skin already feels in lovely condition and i didn't want to add any more product. The night cream is slightly thicker in consistency but i still find my skin absorbers it quite quickly and isn't too rich that is makes my oily patches worse but is still enough to really help my dry areas. I also love that with both of these creams a little goes a long way so you don't need a lot of product.

I have found from using this complete skincare regime my skin has improved quite a bit, i have found that my skin type is more natural than combination so it feels lovely and smooth and it has even slightly improved the redness i get on my cheeks. Being only 23 i can't really comment on the first signs of ageing benefits but even without that it has improved my skin and i really enjoy using it. It all comes in a cute little green wash bag, which i have used as an overnight cosmetics bag. Overall i think it's a great little trial set which gives you plenty of product to give you a long enough indication whether or not you wish to buy the full size products. A perfect treat for yourself if your wanting to try a new skincare regime or pretty enough for a nice little gift. X

Review: Revlon Lip Butter Pink Lemonade

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful day. Today i wanted to share my thoughts on a lipstick i bought quite awhile ago but had completely forgotten about and haven't really tried out. Actually i should include the other two lip butters i bought at the same time as i haven't really got around to wearing any of them as i have been reaching for my MAC lipsticks lately.

I realise you might not be able to make out the swatch seem as i am incredibly pale haha, but i kept it in hope that you will be able to pick up on the subtle colour change and slight shine it gives off. It's a very pale wash of pink  perfect for just a little hint of colour, which i think would also be perfect for those who want to wear a lipstick but is a bit intimidated by a strong colour. I find this very moisturising so leaves my lips feeling nice and hydrated a little like a tinted balm with a bit more staying power, i also really like the glossy finish.

I think this shade will work wonderfully for those bright sunny summer days and your feeling a bit of a feminine pretty in pink make-up look. Do you own any Revlon lip butters? X

Review: Maybelline Color Tattoo Pink Gold

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful week. The other day i finally gave in and bought my first color tattoo eye shadow, i say that as lately i have seen them all over blogs. I never found a colour that appealed to me when i swatched them until i came across pink gold.
Considering i don't see myself as a very girly girl and i have always seemed to be a bit of a tom boy i am slightly shocked in my love for this shade, i guess getting older is making the girly side come out haha. It was also my first cream eye shadow and i have to say after applying it i am won over, it's so quick and easy to apply it's every woman's 5 minute make-up dream. It's very rich in pigment so i find i don't need to use a lot of product and as it's so creamy in texture it's a dream to apply, i literally just used my finger and it blended out wonderfully. I also found it stayed in place and didn't crease up or look horrible through out the course of the day which is brilliant.
I also love how subtle you can blend this out to create a really simple eligant hint of colour. After using this shade i'm certainly thinking of picking a few more up so i have a range of quick eye shadow looks to choose from. Do you own any Maybelline color tattoo's?

L'Oreal: Acid Watermelon

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a lovely day. Today I'm sharing another nail polish, one that I'm currently wearing and think it's amazing so had to share whilst I'm on a post roll haha. If you follow my YouTube channel you will already know that on Saturday i bought some new polishes, which i showed on my haul video i uploaded on Sunday.
L'Oreal colour riche polish: 827 Acid watermelon £5

This is one of the new polishes from the L'Oreal summer trend range, and quite frankly i think it's bloody amazeballs! The most amazing bubblegum barbie pink nail shade i think i have ever set my eyes upon. If you have followed me for awhile you will know i own a lot of pink polishes, i think i can say this is my favourite. I did find the application on this colour a little streaky so i did have to apply three coats, but the colour is so fantastic i couldn't care less if I'm honest haha. It still dries really quick which to me is a massive win and the wide brush allows for quick and easy application.

Have you seen the new L'Oreal trend range yet? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

L'Oreal: You Are Worth It

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a brilliant week so far. Sorry i haven't blogged that much this week, i promise i shall make up for it. Today is a nail post i was meaning to put up last weekend as the weather was miserable and that influenced my nail polish choice. Although I'm not too fussed on what colour i wear according to the weather/season, I'm one for wear whatever colour you fancy, when you fancy it.
L'Oreal colour riche polish: 617 you are worth it £5

I love grey polishes so had to add this to my collection as it was lighter than any that i own. As you can see it is a lovely light slate grey shade, which works lovely in a matte finish as well as glossy. I really enjoy the formula of these polishes as i only had to apply two coats and i find it dries really quickly. I also really like the brush as its quite wide so i find application really quick and easy.

Do you own any L'Oreal polishes? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Nails Inc: You're A Peach

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a lovely weekend. As you can tell today is a nail related post and i am showing off the free polish i got with this months issue of InStyle magazine, you may of already seen from my May magazine freebies post.
InStyle magazine £3.90

There are three colours on offer a raspberry like shade, a baby pink and this lovely summery peach which obviously is the one that i chose. Thinking about it the only Nails Inc polishes i own are from magazine freebies, as much as i adore their colours i do find the price tag of £11 each a little steep for me. The formula is great along with the application and drying time so they are worth the money, so as you can imagine when there is a shade i like as a magazine freebie i will snap it up haha. I decided on you're a peach as i didn't have a shade like this in my collection and i thought it would look so pretty on sunny days and it does not disappoint, i love love love this shade!

Do you have any Nails Inc polishes, what's your favourite shade? Thank you so much for reading, hope you all have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Cosmo Blog Award Nominations

Hello lovelies, i hope you are all having a fantastic day and week so far. So this is my 200th post...can you believe it haha i can't believe i have talked about so many different things in such a short amount of time. Anyway I'll cut to the chase, being this is my 200th post i thought it was a little fitting it being about the Cosmopolitan's blog awards.
I realise you have probably seen this everywhere as it's nominations time, something which is new to me as i wasn't a blogger this time last year. Which leads me on to saying that there is category for the best new beauty blog, which is for the beauty blogs that are well you guessed it new haha. Seem as my blog hasn't reached it's first birthday just yet i thought i would give it a shot and enter but obviously you need nominations too, which is where this post comes in. I wanted to ask all you lovely people who have read my ramblings and supported me and my blog to maybe take a few minutes to nominate me...if you'd like to of course.

You can nominate me here for the best new beauty blog or if you wish seem as my blogs still a baby you can also nominate me here for the newcomer blog award. It takes two minutes to fill out, you don't have to subscribe to anything and if you don't know what my blog URL is its http://beckawoo.blogspot.co.uk/. You can vote as many times you like for as many blogs as you like so if there's other blogs that you also enjoy reading than why not share the love to them aswel. I do feel rather cheeky asking but I'm not gonna lie it would put a massive smile on my face if you did haha. Thank you so much for reading and an even bigger one if you did nominate, have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Review: MUA Cover & Conceal Wand

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a lovely week. Today i wanted to share my thoughts on a new concealer i have been using for the past few weeks the MUA cover and conceal wand, you may of seen from my collective haul
"Lightweight cover-up for imperfections with a smooth flawless finish."

I picked this concealer up in natural and although I'm very pale i find the colour works lovely for me. If you are a regular follower you will already know that i have terrible dark circles, they literally are the bane of my life so i always need to cover them up. I completely agree with what MUA have said on the back of this product as it a lovely lightweight blendable concealer. On it's own it doesn't completely hide my dark circles (because they're ridiculous) but it does do a lovely job and what i love is that it blends out perfectly and doesn't make my pores really noticeable. This is the perfect product for someone who has hardly any dark circles or for those "no make-up" day looks where you still want to slightly cover up some imperfections.

It's a lovely light creamy texture that leaves the skin feeling nice and smooth and doesn't settle in un-wanted areas. For the price i have been blown away by how lovely i have found this concealer, especially after trying a few more expensive products. It's also a great trial price, one thing that annoys me is when i pay out for something that doesn't work where as £1.50 doesn't matter to much which is exactly why i picked it up and was pleasantly surprised.

Overall i highly recommend giving this a try and can see it becoming a re-purchase i will make several times haha. Have you tried this cheep and cheerful concealer out yet? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Paisley Nail Art

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a brilliant day. The other day i fancied trying out my new Models Own nail art pen i got from the Boots beauty night event i went to the other week and decided on a nail art look i was yet to try, paisley.
This being my first attempt i will admit it is a little shaky and needs more practise before i get it spot on but i still thought i would share it as i liked the two colours together and didn't think it was terrible.

I really enjoy using the Models Own nail art pens and find them quite easy to work with, as long as my hands aren't shaking like crazy that is. I was over the moon to see they had a new range of colours out that would create some lovely nail art for the spring/summer. The pattern it's self is rather simple, it's basically drawing parts of the same shape on random parts of your nail and adding a few dots in the gaps.

You can buy the Models Own nail art pens in Boots or online for £6 each or if you wish to have them all they also sell them in box sets for £20 on their website too. Have you tried these nail art pens? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

May 2013 Magazine Freebies

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a brilliant start to the week. If you follow me on twitter you will already know that today didn't quite go to plan as we was meant to be having a family day out but sadly baby monster has been poorly so an afternoon up the emergency doctors it was for us. So i bought myself some magazines to keep me amused whilst waiting and the added fact that they came with very interesting freebies. Not wanting to keep this to myself i thought i would share it with you lovely lot to share the joy...in a sense i suppose haha.
The two magazines i picked up was InStyle and Elle, both i wouldn't normally really show much interest too...i will be very honest I'm not much one for reading and will only really buy a mag if it has a freebie i want haha. This months Elle comes with a sample of Benefit's they're real mascara, something I've seen raved about and wanted to try for quite some time now but have never really had the money to just buy it. And InStyle comes with a 10ml bottle of nails inc. nail polish which is available in three shades a peach, baby pink and a red, as you can see i decided on the peach as i don't own a colour like this and i think it will look lovely for the spring/summer.

Elle cost £4 and InStyle was £3.90, a price i am more than happy to pay to try a rather expensive mascara out and a new nail colour for the sunny summer day's. I'm very excited to try both of these out and will share my thoughts on both in due time. Do you buy magazines just for the freebies, or am i the only one guilty of this? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Seven Deadly Sins Series: Sloth

Hello lovelies, i hope your all having a fantastic weekend. It's that time of the week again where i share my interpretation on a sin and I'm rather shocked as I'm nearly at an end. Today i done sloth as it was kind of picked for me by baby monster waking up from his nap not feeling too well, so i kind of just slapped this on but I'm actually really happy with the result as i didn't actually have a clear direction before i started.
When I've Googled this look I've seen loads of makeup looks using blue eyeshadow, now i don't personally understand this as my depiction of sloth is lazy and blue isn't a colour i represent with that. As you can see my image of lazy is quite literally lazy, hardly any makeup, what is there just smeared on full blown lazy haha. I didn't actually use any makeup brushes to apply the eye shadow i did quite literally smear it on with my fingers and used my hand to smear the lippy i just dabbed on. The only other thing i done to achieve this "slept in" like look was to apply my foundation and a heavy contour, i didn't even bother filling in my brows to be extra lazy haha.

Products use:
MUA flawless skin primer
MAC mineralize skinfinish liquid foundation NW20
MUA cover and conceal wand natural
Soap & Glory solar powder
Rimmel black kohl eyeliner pencil
Rimmel scandaleye's black mascara
MUA undress me too palette shades exposed, lavish and corrupt
Revlon lip butter shade wild watermelon
Rimmel lasting finish lipstick shade kiss of life

So there we go my interpretation of Sloth, quite literally the laziest way i have ever applied makeup in my life haha. I hope you all enjoy this look, thank you all so much for reading and following this series and i shall see you all again soon x

Review: MUA Flawless Skin Primer

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a wonderful day. Today i wanted to share my thoughts on a new primer i bought a few weeks ago, you may of seen it in my collective haul video. I do quite like my MUA primers so when this one was realised along with the other undress your skin products i knew i would give it a go, and the fact it had money off made me snap it up the other month.
"Reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores and leave your skin feeling velvety soft. Creates a flawless complexion that can be worn alone or underneath foundation."

As I'm only 23 i don't exactly have problems with fine lines however sometimes the pores around my nose can be quite noticeable ..well to me anyway.  And i do find this covers it up nicely leaving a really nice soft smooth base for my foundation, as it does have that silicone like feeling but without being so heavy your skin can't breathe. It's a thick clear gel in consistency but i find just one pump is a perfect amount to give a nice even coverage all over.

Although it does say you can use it alone i personally haven't as i don't really see the point but i do like to wear this as it gives a wonderful base, so i find my foundation looks and blends better and therefore my whole face of makeup looks better. At first i was a little worried about using this a lot due to the consistency i thought it may cause me to break out so i did try to only use this every now and then, but i find myself always reaching for this when I'm applying a full face of make up. And i have been pleasantly surprised as it hasn't cause any kind of skin irritation even though it is a bit of a thicker primer compared to their just named primer. I think as long as you remove your makeup thoroughly enough at night it shouldn't cause any problems but even if you are unsure it's great for those special occasion makeup looks. I also found that using this primer made my makeup look freshly applied and generally last longer, which is great if you know your going to be doing something all day.

The only annoyance i have with this product is the packaging, yes it looks nice but i can't see how much product i have left due to the sticker all the way round and as it's a glass bottle with a pump it's not like i can feel how much is left like their other primers. With that said though unlike the matte perfect primer i reviewed i do feel like i am getting more use out of this and it will last me longer as i don't have to use so much product so i do think for you over sea buyers you'll be more satisfied with this one.

Overall i actually really like this product for the price and personally there's not much i can falter it on. Have you tried out this primer yet? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Mini Primark Lash Haul

Hello lovelies, hope your all having an amazing weekend. Last Sunday i was in town and really wanted to pick up some false eyelashes. I don't know why but as of late i have decided i want a massive collection of them, even though I'm not all that great at applying them just yet haha.
As I'm doing my seven deadly sin makeup series and have now set up my YouTube channel my creative side wants to take over and i want to come up with all these weird and wonderful looks. So i think i partly want a massive range of lashes to just add a little something to each of the looks. All these lashes was only a £1 each and come with adhesive so i took the opportunity to pick up some to start off this collection.

I firstly picked up the Primark own brand sultry lashes which i think will work amazingly for a doll like look. I then found a whole section full of these The only way is Essex lashes, sadly there was only two types left so i picked up two pairs of the glam lashes, as one pair isn't quite so thick and full on so they do look a little different. I actually used the thicker full pair for my seven deadly sins series: gluttony look. The other pair i picked up look a lot more natural so i could wear these as a normal day look as well as a theatrical look and they are called flirty.

Do you have any particular lashes you love and think i should add to my collection? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

MAC: Viva Glam Nicki

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a great day. So if you have already seen my Topshop Brighton rock post you already know that i have several new lipsticks that i haven't yet blogged about so will be slowly working my way through them. Well in the post i am sharing my new found love, on Sunday i popped in MAC and i couldn't resist this beautiful creation.
Now you'll have to excuse me, as far as i can tell there isn't an actual shade name but this is a viva glam Nicki, I am new to MAC so please don't shoot me or laugh if it does actually have an individual name haha. But enough about the name just look at the most wonderful shade of pink! I have worn this on every opportunity I've had since Sunday, although it dawned on me today that this is limited edition (or so i was told in the shop anyway) which has now made me think maybe i should use this sparingly....or i buy another one or two so i always have it haha.

Along with the beautiful colour it smells and feels amazing too, now all the MAC lippies i own feel great and last quite well but this is in another world. This shade of pink may seem a little daunting to some, i was a little unsure if it would suite me in the shop but with a simple face this adds a wonderful summer pop to any day. I did also use this lipstick in my seven deadly sin series for the gluttony look i created. What do you think of the viva glam Nicki range? Thank you for reading, hope you have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x

Topshop: Brighton Rock Lipstick

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a great week so far, no doubt a lot of you are very excited for the bank holiday. So over the past few weeks it seems i have accumulated several new lipsticks and i haven't blogged about one of them, so i shall have a few lipstick posts for you over the week. And in this post i am starting with one of them which i think is lovely now the sun has come out.
This is the first Topshop makeup product i own and i must say all though overall i was disappointed with the makeup range they had to offer, i am pleasantly surprised with the quality of this lippy. As you can see it's a lovely bright barbie pink that i think creates a lovely playful spring/summer look. It might look a little scary to those who like me aren't sure if they'd suite such a bright toned pink but i have been quite surprised at just how wearable this shade has been and i really like wearing it with a simple makeup look just to add a pop of colour. It smells lovely and has a nice satin matte finish but if you do prefer glossy lips it's nothing to pop a gloss over the top of this lovely colour. I found the staying power quite good although you will need to keep it on you and top up to keep those pretty pink lips all day, also don't kiss your fella to hard as i don't think he'll appreciate barbie lips himself haha.

Have you tried any of Topshop's lippies, if so what shades are your favourite? Thank you all for reading, hope you all have a wonderful day and i shall see you all again soon x
