Review // Rimmel Glam Plum Fulham

Rimmel Moisture renew shade Glam Plum Fulham £6.49

When it comes to this time of year i can not get enough of winter lipsticks, deep reds and wonderful berry tones scream it's nearly Christmas. I also adore the sexy vampire look winter lippies give and can make the most simple make-up look flawless. Last year i bought the now very popular Rimmel 107 shade lipstick (review here ) which is again living in my handbag, however this winter i really wanted to throw myself into dark lipsticks and on my travels i found Glam Plum Fulham.

This is from the new Rimmel moisture renew line so the clue being in the name is that it's very moisturising, unlike a matte lipstick which can tend to cause problems if you suffer with dry cracked lips. I have an awful habit of biting my lips so as you can imagine at times matte lipsticks don't look the most flattering on me, so this rules out my most loved 107 shade. I have found with this lipstick it really does give my lips the moisture that they need when applied and don't dry up in the slightest when wearing it. The only down side i find with it being from the moisture renew line though is it's lasting power, it does fade in the centre of the lips so i do find myself re applying this several times a day. It also rubs off rather easy so you will be getting lippy marks on your glass/mug, food and anyone your smooching unfortunately.

The colour itself is a wonderful deep plum tone that isn't too dark like 107 can be, it can also be applied lightly so it's not quite so intense in colour for those of you who may need to gain a bit of confidence in wearing such dark toned lipsticks. With it being a moisture lipstick it does have a sheen to it which i normally tend to steer away from but i think this looks rather flattering. The smell is also very noticeable when you open it, i neither love or hate it and it's quite hard to describe but once on i hardly notice it anyway. Over all even with it's minor set backs i really like this shade and have been reaching for this over my other winter lippies since i purchased it, it's lovely and rich in colour and gives that daytime vampy glam i love this time of year.

Have you tried any shades from the new moisture renew line, what's your current Winter lipstick?

  3. Ooh, this lipstick looks gorgeous. I've read good things about the moisture renew range. This shade looks perfect for Autumn/Winter. I have 107 but find it's a little dark for daytime, this sounds like it would be right up my street!

Lookig forward to meeting you at the #southwestbloggersmeet! :D

    1. I'll wear 107 in the day but i do sometimes feel a little anxious when i get a few looks haha, this is a bit more toned down so maybe you'll find it easy to wear in the day time.

Aw thank you :) i'm really nervous cause i'm stupidly shy haha but can't wait to finally go to a bloggers meet up X
